STTN AW :) / Pedi Vent :(

So last night B decided to STTN for the first time ever! It was awesome/ scary to wake up at 430 in the morning (that's when DH is up and getting ready for work) and realize that B hadn't woken up to eat yet. So I immediately went to check on him and make sure he was still breathing! (I had fallen asleep on the couch watching TV and he was in his swing.) He slept from like 845 last night til 515 this morning! He then sucked down 5 oz and went right back to sleep till 730! I'm sure this was a fluke as he is only going to be 12 weeks tomorrow, but I'll take what I can get, lol!

This morning I tried to contact B's pedi to schedule him an appt for this afternoon as he has been congested for about a week now, and it is getting worse and his snot is all greenish- yellowish and super yucky. He's also got some wicked post nasal drip going on and I just want to have him seen. When I called last week (he had a slight temp) they said it was most likely viral and to let it run it's course. So beginning at 845 (phones open at 830) I started calling. Well, the only option to schedule a sick visit is by speaking with the triage nurse. Actually that is the only option that gets you to a human, I can't even press 0 for the front desk or anything. My problem is, when I press option 2 for the nurse line, it transfers me to the hospital's "room service" line for patient's to order meals. I cannot get through to my pedi's office AT ALL! I even tried the main hospital line, explained the problem to the operator and asked to be transferred to the back line (which I know they have) only to be sent right to the main number again. I have tried to call AT LEAST 20 times.... I am SO pi$$ed it's not even funny! How can it be that this hasn't been fixed yet?? They have "open hours" when you can bring your child in without an appt, so I guess I'm just going to show up with B after work today... The sucky thing about that is you end up waiting forever because they just squeeze you in between scheduled appts, and I don't feel like being there for hours on end. GAH!
