Trouble TTC

What do you think?

So I went in for my second mid-cycle u/s this morning (cd19) and I had one dominant follicle, 16mm on the right side.  They're giving it another day and I'm supposed to trigger with ovidrel tomorrow night between 9-10pm.  This was my second clomid cycle, but the first at 100mg.  Just wondering what the chances are that this could turn into a bfp, with it being so late in my cycle and with such a slow growing follicle.  Looking for opinions, stories, etc.  Thanks so much ladies!!!

Re: What do you think?

  • Eh, I don't think your that "late" in your cycle.  From what I have read most women ovulate 5-10 days after they finish clomid.  It says in your siggy that you took it CD5-9, so you are only a few days off from the norm.

As far as your odds of a BFP, I don't really know.  I would guess around 15-20%.

  • You could ask PAIF for success stories otherwise most of us won't really know what to tell you. I agree with PP that its really not that late in your cycle, and even if it is, that's still a good follie size. It will probably grow some too with the trigger. As for your chances... that depends, is this TI or an IUI cycle. Is MFI an issue? If not, probably around 10 to 20% chance.

    Good luck with this cycle.

It doesn't sound like you would be too late to be out this cycle.  I am a late responder to meds and my RE never mentioned that it could decrease my chances because my follicles take longer to grow.  As for your chances, I have been told that with TI and my DH has good sperm we stand a 15-20% chance.  Don't think too hard on your cycle, what's done is done and just try to relax.  Good luck!

  • Later O does not lessen your chances of getting pregnant. You should ask your RE about percentages though. There are a lot of different factors that play into that and different doctors have different opinions so it's hard to say.
