Bad week for IF (babies mentioned)

I haven't been posting much lately, but reading as often as I can. I just had to share my crappy start to the week. We hit 3 years this April. If my week continues like this, I may just stay in bed until June!

Went to church on Sunday and was hoping for some peace. Nope. Sat behind a young lady I'm not overly fond of in the first place, who also happens to be Miss Fertility herself... with her 5 month old twins. They were gorgeous of course, but she and her partner held them over their shoulders, facing us for the entire service. So I spent an hour looking into the faces of beautiful perfect infants (who my husband was happy to make faces at and play with - which also broke my heart). Painful!

I brushed it off by this morning and almost made it through the entire day without a gloomy thought. Then I check my email and the subject line in my inbox says "Our heartfelt thanks to you...". I open it up and it's one of the coupon sites I use, thanking me for being such a fantastic mom and for sacrificing myself and taking care of my children by buying such-and-such product (which is not even designed specifically for children!). Apparently, given my preferences, they determined I'm a Mom. Awesome. Eff you Proctor and Gamble. 

Anyways, just another day in the land of IF! She's a biatch, I tell ya!

DH 32yrs & healthy
*unexplained infertility* 

Regularly access alternative medicine to supplement a lack of resources in our geographical area.
  • Three rounds of clomid (50mg days 3-7) were useless.
  • IUI#1 w/clomid & HCG in May 2013, BFN.
  • IUI#2 w/clomid & HCG on July 23rd. BFN.
  • IUI #3 in August cancelled last minute, due to lab error.
  • IVF#1 - Started Gonal F stims October 13 2013 for IUI. Over-responded with too many follicles, so converted to IVF. Retrieval October 29th - got 5 eggs, 4 fertilized. Had 2 perfect little embryos transferred on day 3 (Nov. 1). The remaining 2 didn't survive to freeze. Got our BFN on November 13th 2013.
  • IVF#2 - Started stims August 21st. Triggered with Suprefact, started on dostinex due to risk of OHSS. Retrieval September 5th - got 27 eggs! 21 embryos on day 3. Embryos deteriorated quickly. ESet 5day blast on Sept 10. No embryos high enough quality to freeze. BFN came Sept. 22.

Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .

Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October

    HUGS!!! I am so sorry you are having such a hard time!! I really hope things look up for you and I hope you can focus on the reasons why you are so wonderful and why you should get out of bed each day.

    Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
    Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
    First RE appt 1/10/2013
    Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
    Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
    2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
    Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then Bloggy Blog!

     TTC since November, 2011

    DH's SA : Excellent

    Lap and Hysteroscopy June 2012

    DX: PCOS, Stage III Endo, slight Adenomyosis, blocked tube, and probable LPD

    Treatments:  6 Months Lupron Depot injections; 1500 mg metformin; 3 cycles of Clomid + TI = BFN

    3 endometrial biopsies all were "out of phase" 

    September - December, 2013:  Break to lose weight and get healthy

    40 lb weight loss but still not ovulating "in phase"  

    February - March 2014: bcps + follistim + trigger + TI = BFP

     Beta #1 (12dpo): 30; Beta #2 (18dpo): 500; Beta #3 (25dpo): 7,000!!! 

    1st u/s 4/16: One beautiful hb at 144 bmp 

    2nd u/s 4/29: hb at 166 bmp.  Graduated from RE!!

    I'm sorry its been a rough week. I hit 3 years in April too and it just seems like its NEVER going to happen. IF is a big ol biatch like you said! I hope things change around for you and you have a good day and week!
