How early can 4 mo wakeful occur?

DS has been sleeping 3, 2, 1.5, and 1.5 hrs the last few nights. Last night it was 5, 1, 1, 1, 30 min, 30 min, 30 min. I nursed him twice in the night and he is not nursing well this morning. He's 3 mos, 1 week, but he's hit all his wonder weeks early. Is it the 4 mo wakeful?

    Nope not too early.  My daughter started having sleep issues April 1 and it lasted until May2.  She was about 3 mo 2 weeks old then.  Her naps use to be 2 hours long then they turned into 30 minute naps.  She woke frequently through the night.  Finally she is taking 1.5 hr naps and only woke once last night!!!!  It may take awhile but your son will go back to normal! Good luck! It's exhausting!

    DS is 10 days shy of 4 months.  In the past week his naps have gone to maybe 20-30 min mostly during the day, but he's still STTN - does this sound like it could be related to the 4 mo wakeful or just him trying to regulate his daytime napping?

    It sounds similar to my daughter.  It started with poor napping for her then moved on to poor night sleeping.  She also had a cold and stuffy nose so that didn't help her nights either.  But I would blame the 4 mo wakeful on your sons nap issues.  Good luck!

    Do we have the same baby? because I am pretty sure those are the exact dates of my DD's sleep regression.

    My DD slept through the night until she turned 3 months and then started sleeping like crap. Don't know if its the 4 month wakeful come early, but its nice to have something to blame! :)
