Re: 5/6- Weekly Accountability Check In!

  • Last week was hectic. I had my DD's birthday Wednesday and field day at her school all day Friday. Saturday was her birthday party and birthday lunch plus we put all her gifts away (she is so spoiled, haha), gardened, went fishing and hung out with friends when my DD went to spend the night with my parents. Sunday was her cheer competition and since she came in 3rd, we went to dinner to celebrate. I definitely got my exercise in but eating healthy was a struggle. I'm down 3 lbs this morning so I am finally seeing the results after my period bloat has gone away. I'm down 9 lbs total which is different from what I posted previously because I thought my first weigh in was more then it was so I was calculating wrong....downer. However, 9 lbs in 6 weeks, I'll take that. That's 1.5 lbs a week and that's healthy. I'm feeling pretty good starting this week out. It is going to be a struggle getting back in to my normal routine but I can do it. I hope everyone had a great week and weekend. I can't wait to hear everyone's update! Have a great week!

    Hello hello!

My week was good in terms of exercise. 4 runs for a total of 13 miles. One JM DVD and one half hour relaxed tennis session (with kids interrupting by running on court every 5 minutes so really relaxed).

My weigh in week to week is depressing - zero change. But I kinda know what the problem is. Last week I kept the food diary on myfitnesspal for the first time in a long time and the average daily calorie intake was 1800 (and that's net of -150 for nursing a toddler). I had no idea it was that much! (well I did on Sunday because that involved two slices of coconut cream pie but not the other days). I generally eat pretty healthy but I was surprised how much things added up. So i'm going to try to be more mindful this week.

    Iloveshanej - awesome progress!!!

  • I just rolled out of bed at 9am :)

Last week was good with the exercise.  I did cardio on sunday and yoga on tues/wens.  Eating was probably not the best but much better than the week before.  I need to get back to working my ab muscles.  I haven't really done any at all for a month.  My goal is do add those back in 3 days a week.  I can't decide if I'm willing to except the pooch or not.

This coming week is extremely busy for me so I already went to the gym yesterday.

  • I did great workout-wise this week. I LOVED  my 1st pilates class last Monday, so I did it again this morning! Think I'm going to make it part of my workout routine. I love how the focus is pretty much solely on core, my post-baby body needs that!

I made it to the gym 4 times last week, and hopped on the treadmill for 2 non-gym days. We had a bbq Friday night, friend's birthday party Saturday afternoon and big Mexican din (with lots of margaritas) yesterday...so needless to say my eating habits have been subpar this week. I really need to work on that. DH is out of town this week though, so I know my dinners are going to be all over the place as far as how balanced they are (I don't like to cook when it's just me).

Hope everyone has a great week!

  • I have been following a Paleo diet about 6 weeks, and am 9 weeks PP. I am below my pre pregnancy weight but would like to lose 10 to 15 more pounds. DH ordered me a double jogging stroller for Mother's Day. It has been frustrating not being able to exercise after a C section, I am definitely going to ease back into it.

Pretty good week - crossfit m-th and runs weds and Sunday. I ran a 5k Sunday, it was slow but good. Morning sickness has finally started to relent thank god! So my eating wasn't as bad - managed to get some meat and vegetables in. But I did make a serious dent in the Heath bar ice cream my husband bought!

  • Last week was a bit crazy... only hit the gym M, T, W, walked w/ LO on Thursday...  DD's big first bday party was Saturday so most of the week was spent doing things for that...

Obv ate my face off on Saturday night and had a few beers - bleh... tried to make up for it yesterday and think i did okay.  only went up a few pounds and back down a bit today, so that's okay.  Hit it hard at the gym yesterday and will go for a run today.

Weight is coming off slowly, but I def see a difference in my love handle area!

Late as always... I had a good week last week.  I raced a 5k on Friday, but kind of took it easy because I didn't want to be sore for my race Sunday.  It is hard for me to race easy though, so we went faster than I anticipated.  Sunday I had the best half marathon of my life and not only set a PR, but we came in 5 minutes under what we thought was an aggressive goal.  The last mile I was struggling, but we managed to hold on and it was awesome.  Now trying to recover to do another on Saturday!
