What are your healthy living goals for the week?

This check-in is for anyone who wants some accountability to make their healthy living goals. We set goals on Monday and check back in on Friday. If you want to be a part, jump right in!

GTKY: What is your biggest motivator for taking care of your physical health?

  • my health goals for this week are:

    1. measure out the water I need to drink each day and drink it!

    2. walk everyday

    3. do my "tupler technique" excercises

    4. use my stretch mark treatment each day

    5. drink some of my mothers herbal tea

    GTKY: I want to take care of my physical health so I carry healthy babies and be free of pain and complications during my pregnancy. I want to set a good example of a healthy life style to my daughter. Also, I just want to feel good about myself and feel good in the body I was given.

  • Blessed your number 1 is a great idea! I used to do it when I was pregnant and it really helped to have the visual reminder in te fridge. Some reason I haven't done it since!

    Well I had a horrid weekend. Visiting my younger sister so think frozen yogurt, candy, out to eat every meal almost, breakfast sandwiches. Ugh ...I literally felt awful from eating all thatcrap. Well it's a new week I guess!

    My goals for the week
    1. Water!
    2. My fitness pal to track food choices
    3. Baby boot camp MWF
    4. Walk 3 days
    5. Strength training video 2 times

    GTKY my biggest motivator is my son. I want healthy eating and exercising to be a part of his daily life. I want to be a role model for him so that it just becomes second nature. My family did not have many healthy habits growing up so I cringe thinking about what we ate. I had to learn about proper food choices on my own much layer in life. My selfish motivator is our Mexico trip at the end of summer!

  • Well I finally started weight watchers, so my big goal for this week is to track all my food. My other goal is to exercise at least 3 days this week. I am feeling really good again, so time to get to it.

    QOTW: Initially i am doing this because I am in two weddings this summer. But long term I am doing it to set a good example for my boys and be healthy so I can keep up with them!

  • Good morning! Thanks for posting!

    This week I'd like to get out for another walk - or two - and I'd like to eat at least two days this week stay within my daily allowance and not dip into my weekly WW points. They're there for me to use or not, and I'd like to lean more towards not, if I can.

    GTKY: Staying active and eating healthy will mean I'll get to enjoy my twilight years, instead of languishing from one ailment or another! I also feel a whole lot better emotionally when I'm in a better place physically.

  • My goals:

    1. Get in three walks this week. I shopped like crazy this afternoon wearing wedge sandals...so does that count as one day of walking? :)

    2. Continue to drink all the water from my work bottle (32 ounces) per day - seems to help move things along in my digestive system.

    3. Boot camp class on Wed.

     ETA: Oops, forgot the GTKY question.  My motivation is to try to fit into a few of my nice summer pants. I don't want to buy any more although I did buy a new pair of Bermuda-length shorts today as I have zero pairs of shorts that remotely fit me.

  • Goals:

    1. Walk at least 4 days this week.

    2. Drink more water.

    GTKY: Short term, I am going to Hawaii in July. Long term, to just feel better and be a good example for DD. I need to motivate DH and have told him about this check in - I really should make him do something like this for accountability.

  • I'm a little late, but I still want to join in.

    I am also adding more water to my list this week, my goal is to drink 32 ounces by lunchtime everyday.  I was doing well for a while but I drink waaaay too much diet soda.  It isnt the caffeine that bugs me, but all of the chemical what nots that I really don't need.

    Exercise, exercise, exercise.  No more excuses.  Four times this week or bust!

    GTKY:  The older I get the more being in shape and healthy is about living longer and having a better quality of life.  Of course I want to look cute doing it...but that isn't really the main goal at this point.
