My RE for my donor cycle requested the original ultrasound images from my satellite monitoring appointments for review. I got a two line email from him today saying, ?Everything looked good until the last ultrasound. Next time we will keep your estrogen levels lower.? WTF!!! Why the h*ll did he not notice there was an issue before??? I emailed him back asking for further explanation but haven?t heard anything yet. He did my transfer personally so how is it humanly possible that if there was an issue he didn't see it??? I am SOOOO angry right now.

Sorry, just had to vent.

I would be super pissed, you are doing the right thing! These RE's are so busy making money they sometimes miss things.

I am so sorry. This us really sh!tty of him. We pour our heart and soul into this journey and the drs act like oh well, we will try this next time. I had to leave my clinic because of that attitude.

I travelled across the country for this cycle and am really taken back by his nonchalant attitude. I asked pointed questions after every monitoring appointment about my results and everything was always ?looking great?. I think I made the cardinal mistake when it comes to donor eggs; I fell in love with our donor and then chose a clinic. I thought with SART stats of 89 DE cycles and a 63% live birth rate we were in good hands but I guess I was wrong. I really have lost all faith in this process.

I'm very sorry. I can absolutely understand why you're frustrated with him. What do you think this means? I hope you can still complete the cycle, but only if the circumstances are as favorable as possible for a good outcome. Hope you get answers soon.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't understand, but should have. Your RE's cavalier attitude is unacceptable. It might be just another cycle to them, but to us, it's everything. Big, big hugs.

That is so bizarre. I'm sorry.

I guess it's a good thing (even if it doesn't feel like it) that he's reviewing your past cycle, and is being honest with you that he missed something. I take it maybe he thought your lining was *too* thick? I think there's some difference of opinion over whether a lining can ever be too thick (within reason).

I hope he gets back to you asap with a full explanation.

UGH!!! That is so frustrating! It is terrible that the people we are trusting to get us pregnant could possibly be the reason we aren't getting pregnant, and they act like it is no big deal when we are going through hell. I really hope you get some answers and a great big apology (which you won't, cause they never admit their errors)! So sorry!

p.s. I see in your siggy that you have a fibroid. Are you open to getting a pm from me with some fibroid questions?

I'm not trying to defend your RE because I don't know what he was thinking at the time or when he emailed you, but maybe he meant that it was sort of a place where there's no clear data either way and he went with one direction and now he'd like to try the other.

I'm sure I'd be as angry as you are if I were in your situation, though, and you certainly deserve more than a two-line toss-off email about it.
