Shoe size?

For those who have little walkers, what size shoes are they in? There's a side sale for kids shoes until tomorrow on Woot! Kids that has me interested. Helen is just starting to walk (holding hands and with a walker by herself) and I feel it's time to at least have a pair or two on hand. I'm not asking folks to measure their LO's feet, but if you feel so inclined

My dd is really small and would wear a size 4 or size 3 if they had them, but most kids don't wear shoes that small.

My son wears 4.5W. Although I knew he had kind of pudgy feet, it didn't occur to me that I should be buying him wides until I went to Stride Rite and they measured him and showed me the best kind of shoes to get on his chunky little feet. A lot of the options I would have picked would have been a pain to get on him. Also, his foot actually measures a size 4W but we got a 1/2 size bigger (at Stride Rite's suggestion) to get him through about 3 months in the shoes. The half size up doesn't impact his ablity to walk comfortably. So, I realize this is unsolicited advice, but if you haven't bought good walking shoes yet for your LO, it may be worth it to at least get her feet measured somewhere before you buy something sight unseen online. I bought a lot of shoes when DS was younger that we could never get on his feet and now I know it's because I wasn't buying the right size.

My DD is 30" tall without shoes on and is wearing a size 6 shoe. I feel like she has huge feet though.

HOLY SMOKES! Quite a range! LOL, kmhunt, have no fear, her cute little feet will grow! I guess I do need to take and get her measured. The tough part is that we're at least 40 minutes from a store that will measure her. Maybe there's a store in St Joe that I don't know about. Time to research! Thanks, Ladies! I am totally buying the walk-thru gate up on woot.kids today, though! haha

DS wears a 4W. I had him measured when I bought him shoes and he was a 3.5W so I bought 1/2 a size bigger like a pp so they would last a bit longer. DH and I both have wide feet so we anticipated that he would as well. We got a lot of cute baby shoes that never fit his pudgy little feet because they were just too wide

I'd definitely say it's worth going somewhere to get your LO's feet measured. I went to Payless because it's way closer than the nearest Stride Rite and the fit was just fine.

When we had her sized at Stride Rite in February, I got her size 5 and she had a little room to grow. Now it's almost time for new shoes.

DS is tiny..he's wearing size 3. he has a pair of nike that are easy for him to walk in. I am also going to look at stride rite for size 3 infant shoes that don't have the soft soles.
