Graduation Gift

Our neighbor's baby is graduating from high school and going to our state university.  They are amazing neighbors and have always gotten us things for the kids' births and birthdays so I want to throw together something for her.  

I know when I went to college all I wanted was someone to buy me booze and I ate fast food pretty much daily.  Obviously I'm not going to buy her alcohol, so I'm thinking a couple of $5 gift cards to some places to eat that I know are around campus, maybe a t-shirt with the name of the college on it, maybe a grocery store GC, maybe some Ramen Noodles ;)  

Any other ideas?  Anything creative I'm not thinking of?

    I think you have some great ideas! You could make a cute gift basket with all of it! Maybe a gas card to help with commuting?

    Ramen noodles in a hot pot.  Do they even still make hot pots?????

    Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

    Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

    HA Kelly I don't even know what the heck a hot pot is, but it made me think that maybe getting her a George Foreman would be a good idea too!  I used mine every day when I was in college.

    One of the best gifts I got was things a teenager wouldn't think of, but definitely need. Like Tylenol, lotion, band aids, pepto, etc. and I love the gas card idea.

    I think the gift cards would be a great idea.  I would have loved that going into college.  I saw this on pinterest and was thinking of doing it for my cousin's graduation.  I've seen it done all different ways, but here is one example using an actual flower.  I've also seen it in a basket or in an empty flower pot... may be corny, but I think it's kind of cute!  You could stick in some lottery tickets to fill it in.
