Do your kids sleep better on vacation?

For the life of me I cannot figure DS out! Both times we were off our routine (once at 3 months for a trip to FL and now a 4 month trip to Virginia to visit my sister) DS sleeps amazing.  Once we get back home its back to normal...last night he was up at 1:00, 1:45, 2:15, 3:30, 4:30, until 6. While in VA, he slept all night only waking to eat around 3:30. 

He slept in his pack n play (which looks so uncomfortable!) MAybe he hates his crib? Maybe the extra stimulation from the day by being on vacation helps him sleep? Being outside the majority of the day?  Maybe because he was put to bed later than normal? Ahhhh.....so frustrating!

    Could it be the environment?nbsp; Does his crib have a mobile or other fun things that the pnp doesn't?nbsp; Does he normally sleep with a night light but it's darker on vacation?nbsp; I am a firm believer that putting a baby to bed later and/or providing extra stimulation does not help a baby sleep better.nbsp; I guess I'm in the sleep breeds sleep camp.nbsp; I'm probably not much help but those were the few things that came to mind.nbsp; Hope you get it figured out!

    I agree that sleeps begets sleep for sure especially at this age. Everything is pretty much the same. No nightlight, nice and dark with sound machine. Only difference is that he's in the same room with us on vacation though
    I'm not sure he even knows that as the room we were in you couldn't see PNP/bed from where we put it, if that makes sense. I also came in the room several hours after his bedtime.

    Jackson was the complete opposite. He slept horrible on vacation. And he woke up like that when we came back. I think it's the adjustment. It took a few days
