One & Done: Only child

F/U on My 'Friends' Post

I just realized that my friend who had twins a few days ago now has FOUR UNDER FOUR.  That deserved a whole new post.  Again, she is an amazing mom, but I am exhausted thinking about that.

Re: F/U on My 'Friends' Post

  • A coworker with twins had four under three. It was amazing to see them in action. They were an organized machine.

That's awesome.  I would be a tragically disorganized hot mess.

  • lol reading that makes me tired.

  • I have a friend who had twins through IVF.  Then she got PG naturally with twins and gave birth when the first set was 16 months.

    FOUR under TWO!!!!!!

  • Bless them.  One of my close friends had triplets and their routine makes my head hurt.  They have to be so organized to make sure everything gets done.  Not to mention I don't think they've slept in three months....

  • I have two friends with 4 under 4. One had a new baby every 10 - 12 months and one had a singleton, twins, and just had another singleton.

Gives me nightmares. But also, I saw a picture today of the mom with the twins carrying the new baby and all the kid's were holding hands while they walked across the parking lot. My ONE kid has trouble holding hands and not darting away from me into traffic. And that is why I only have one. If he was a well behaved, quiet child, I might want another one. Alas, he is not.

    I second this.

I also have a friend with four, but hers are much more spread apart: they are 15, 12, 7, and 1. We were talking about it the other day and figured out that her oldest will be in college while her youngest is in full-time daycare. Also, by the time her youngest is 18 she will have spent 32 years of her life raising children. I think that deserves another Indifferent lol.
