With my little guy sitting up now, I think I need a new bath for him...any recommendations? Right now he has a fisher price one that has all toys around it and all he wants to do is eat the toys..its very hard to bathe him!
I loved the inflatable duck tub we were given. It's Chico I think. Around 10. It's not a ton of water but comes up to their belly to keep them warm. And since its inflatable its super comfy. I almost returned it after our shower and I'm soon glad we didn't. I can't wait for dd 2 to use it when she sits.
Just be sure to flip it upside down like you probably do now so it dries well.

This. We love ours! And I also like that it's easier to store when she outgrows it... much less room than a tub.
We just use the normal tub now. Fill it with a few inches and let her play. Sometimes I will lay her down on her back and let her chill there -she likes that and will splash and splash!

this is what I do too. On the days that he wants to sit up, I place a laundry basket in the bath and then he won't fall over as easily and it's not as slippery. Then his toys stay within grasp and all is well in the bath. Although the newest game is trying to stand up, not sure what I'm going to do with that!

We still use the infant tub for now since DD can't sit up by herself yet, but I plan on doing the laundry basket thing when she can.
you do know you can throw a laundry basket in the tub and set your kid in the laundry basket. It narrows his range of play, and keeps his toys from floating away. That said, we have a bath seat from diapers.com. I love it, DD cant lean forward to drink the water, but she can still splash, which she thinks is the coolest thing ever.
We used the Euro Primobath when our son was this age and I didn't feel comfortable with him in the regular tub. The Primo is the largest tub on the market I believe and has two sides - one reclining and one for sitting. It's BPA/Phalalate free which was an important consideration for us. Just be sure to check the measurements against your tub to make sure it will fit!

We also use the duck tub. Mine is munchkin brand. Really like it just don't love storing it between bath days.
Same here. He loves it!
Yep, munchkin not Circo. Nothing wrong with the big tub too. I just liked the cushion, I was always afraid of dd slipping and wailing her head on the tub.

I love putting a laundry basket in the tub and filling it with a little bit of water. If you child slips and falls over they can grab the holes in the side to help getting up and it keeps all their toys in a small area.
Ditto to the duck tub! DD loves it. One warning: since it's soft sided, DD likes to try to crawl out of it.

After 5.5 years of loss, heartbreak, and empty arms, our dreams were fulfilled through the beautiful, selfless gift of adoption. We are amazingly blessed!
We use the regular tub. She loves to sit and splash in it, and the fact that I can put her in there with DD1 makes it exciting for both girls. DD2 is just getting ot the point where she can sit for the whole bath by herself, but I just keep a hand on her to make sure she doesn't fall, especially when DD1 is playing too. If DD2 doesn't feel like sitting, I'll just lay her in the tub (without DD1).
We had the ducky tub for DD1 and she was absolutely petrified of it. To the point where she would freak out every time we went in the bathroom.
I have been using something similar to this. It's called a bath support. Mine is made with mesh material, but little one loves that he is more open and can put his arms in the tub and splash around.
