Critter in the house!

I just came home from work and my front door is wide open.  I asked MH what is up he said there is some kind of mini ferret running around in our lower level.  BTW he is very calm about this.  He says it has been running around all morning.  I'm flipping out.  I have yet to see it but this is not a good situation!  WTH. MH thinks it is in the laundry. What am I gonna do?

    That is MH's description.  He says it is really tiny, vey long, narrow, fuzzy and cute.  I have been trying to get my dog to sniff it out but she is not finding anything.  I asked him if it was a baby squirrel and he said no.  What do you do in this situation?  We have the front door open and are planning to chase it out if it pops out again.  I have just been waiting around in the office to see if it comes out of the laundry room.Tongue Tied

    I would probably go out to lunch lol. There's no way I'd want to be in the house with a wild ferret!

    I used to own a ferret.  They are sneaking little creatures.  They can flatten themselves to get under doorways or wherever they feel like hiding.  I have no real suggestion to get the thing out.  I can say if there was any type of sugar product lying around, our ferret would come out of hiding to try sneaking it into a corner somewhere...

    It's not a rat MH knows what a rat looks like plus he said it was cute.  The dog has picked up on its scent and is prowling around.  If it is smart it's long gone now that Penny is alert.  I  am thinking it must have went out however it came in.  We probably need to take a look at some of the venting in our laundry/furnace room.
