Shopping at work

So my pants are feeling mighty tight today so I decided to browse at oldnavy.com to see if they have any new dresses as I plan on living in them and I love the one maternity dress I have from there.

Well $300 later I end up with:

7 tanks, 1 maxi skirt, 1 leggings, 1 pair of shorts, 2 pairs of capris, 3 maxi dresses, 1 bathing suit, 1 hoodie and 2 sweaters.

I did not mean to do that, SMH!

Re: Shopping at work

  • I just ordered a few pairs of shorts from Old Navy.com and I can't wait to get them. I have SO Much of their stuff from my 1st pregnancy and I loved it all--so reasonable, cute and comfy!

Today is the last day for their stuff and save event. I was thinking about picking up a few things too. Lol.

ETA:  This is how I am justifying it, I saved $130 so it could have been worse!

  • That's awesome that you were able to get so much stuff, but yikes! $300? Being on this website really makes me feel like I live in poverty. That's over half my mortgage!

  • Shopping online is so dangerous for me especially when they offer free shipping! I need a couple of things so I'll be ordering tonight because luckily I can't do it at work!

There's no way I could afford $300 in maternity clothes, either. FWIW, I've been pretty disappointed in ON's clothes. I made a $60 purchase earlier in pregnancy and returned about $40 of it.

I couldn't either.  And I am disappointed with ON, too.  I had a pair of pants from when I was pregnant 6 years ago that I still wear a ton.  This time around I have purchased 1 shirt and that was only because it was on clearance.  Their jeans are horrible!  Who thought it was a good idea to put FAKE pockets on maternity jeans?!!!  The stuff online looks cute enough, but what I've seen in-store makes me purchase weary.

Whenever I see the ladies on here mentioning what I would consider to be a lot of money my mind instantly goes into "Man, with that I could pay this and this and this" mode. It's like a reflex of some sort, lol!

I'm not happy with ON's clothes most of the time either. Their stuff is too expensive even when it's on sale! Then again, my body proportions make clothes shopping a nightmare anyway. The only thing I get from there might be flip flops and baby clothes if they are on clearance for $10 max.

$300 is half your mortgage? Where do you live because I think I need to move there too!

You're not alone. Wink That's more than my clothes budget for the whole month.
