Trouble TTC

BFN and T&P needed (baby mentioned)

HI ladies! I had IUI #1 two weeks ago so I tested this morning and got a BFN. No AF yet but I am sure she is coming. I called my RE to see what the plan is and she basically said to wait for AF, if she doesn't come by Friday then to test again and if she doesn't come by next Monday then to call her to discuss "options".

When I told DH about my BFN he started to express interest in holding off on another IUI for right now and just do meds and TI. We bought a 3 IUI bundle package with our RE so my DH doesn't want to waste an IUI if my body hasn't adjusted to the medication yet. I wouldn't think my body would need a lot of time to adjust to meds and work properly...any ideas? my Dx is Anovulatory if you are mobile bumping and can't see my siggy.

Anyways, I am pretty bummed but I will be ok...just waiting on AF I guess.

Now for the T&P needed: My BFF had a baby back in March and the baby was born with Pfeiffers Syndrome, which caused his fontanel to grow together too quickly. So he is having neurosurgery right now in order to take a piece of his skull out that was fused together. Please pray for baby Grayson, my friend and the medical team. Thank you so much!

I also wouldn't think your body would need more time to adjust to the meds, unless your baseline ultrasound shows something different?! But, you need to have a plan that you and your DH both feel comfortable with. Lots and lots of T&Ps to your friend and her baby today.

    Sorry about the BFN. nbsp;What was your treatment plan the first month? nbsp;Finding the right dosage and right meds can take a while, and that might have to do with the "options" your RE mentioned. nbsp;If you're not getting an optimal response, she may want to do TI until you get the right cocktail and/or dosage down to save some money.For example and I'm anovulatory too, but it's AH related, I responded great to Clomid, meh to Femara, but my lining had thinned out so much on Clomid that we knew it wasn't the right drug. On my two Clomid cycles, we canceled the IUI's and went to TI to save 400 a cycle. But we learned that I need injects instead of Clomid or Femara if we're going to do stims, and we don't consider those wasted cycles. So I would say that it's all part of the process.Prayers for your friend's baby are being sent up.nbsp;

    We did Femara 5mg CD 37 but I didn't respond very well to it by my mid cycle appt so I took 3 more days of Femara 7.5mg and ended up with a 13mm and 14mm follie. I triggered about 3 days later and then did IUI 36 hours later. I definitely think we need to get my med cocktail right. Thank you for the input, it helped a lot. And thank you everyone for your nice responses! It means a lot to have support.
