Trouble TTC

Bad reaction to hcg

Has anyone gotten a bad reaction to the hcg shot? My first one in January I fainted and had convulsions after-so scary. I thought it was maybe from not eating before or because they did it while I was standing. Had one last month and I layer down and stayed down for a while after. Had my third today, thought I was ok but fainted and convulsed in the car. My re is not worried and thinks is probably mental too but it's so freaking scary for me and poor DH. Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Wow that sounds scary, I would be a bit worried about having convulsions. Is there another brand you could try?

I fainted with my first one but no convulsions, but nothing with the second. I know it was all mental for me.

Ya she said if we need to do another cycle she will switch the brand and that will determine if it is mental or not. It didn't happen last time and I stayed lying down for a while after maybe that's just what I need to do?

That is very scary!! I have never had a reaction to it that way...hopefully switching the brand will make a difference? Good luck and hopefully next cycle is better!

  • I've never heard of anyone having a reaction like that. I'd definitely arrange to lay down (and not drive) for a few hours afterwards, if you have to take it again.
