Just wondering, how many disposable newborn diapers would you ladies recommend?
I have about 75-80 right now and I'm sure that won't last long. However, I didn't want to invest in a ton of them because depending on how big baby is maybe I'll have to put her in size 1 sooner than later? I'm just not sure.
Let me know what you think! TIA.
Re: How many newborn diapers do you have?
I have no experience, but I bought 80 newborns (they say they fit up to 10 lbs) and 80 size ones to start with, in addition to our cloth stash.
I was told not to buy diapers because people would end up giving them to you. That turned out not to be the case for me, so yesterday I went out and bought a box of size 1 (108 count). For some reason that box was the same price as the box with 90, so it was a no brainer.
I didn't see any newborn sizes so I thought one was the smallest! Whoops, sounds like I need to go back to the store!
I know cloth diapering isnt for everyone, but reading actual numbers like this makes me love my cloth!
I have one package of around 80 disposable newborns to use at first until the meconium is gone, and one package of size 1's to keep for some type of unexpected situation.
Well, it sounds like I have enough to get started so I won't buy anymore. I already have a few packages of size 1 and size 2 so I think I'll be ok.
I'm glad I'm not as unprepared as I thought I might be. Thanks for the help!
I have around 250 newborn diapers enough for 25 days with my 10/day estimate.
I believe I have too many, but my MIL insists that I need them since my husband was small at birth. I just nod my head and accept each box she gives me.
