Called the REs office this morning to let them know I started my cycle over the weekend and to get my next tx plan. The RE wants to stick with the same game plan. Gonal-f, trigger shot and TI...when asking him about why TI and not IUI he said that my DHs sperm looks excellent and there is only a slight increase in success rates between the two tx when the males sperm is just fine, so he said overall this will save us an extra 300.00 or so....does this sound legit to you ladies?! I really really like this doctor and he is one of the top fertility specialists in Michigan so I feel comfortable with his judgement but just wanted your ladies opinion as well

I will go in for my baseline ultrasound Wednesday morning and start injects if everything looks good...here we go!

Re: Here We Go Again!
I've never had my RE mention TI with me. DH's swimmers are fine as well. I just feel like if I'm doing injectables I would want the best possible plan. That being said, if you can afford the extra $300 I might do it and do TI as well. My IUIs are covered under my insurance, so I've never been put in the position to pay more.
Maybe you want to get a second opinion.
ETA- I see in your siggy that you were doing IUIs. Any reason he specifically switched you to TI? I'm a little confused why he would have you go back to TI.
TTC since July 2011
BFP #1: 2/15/12-Ectopic/Mtx at 6 wks
BFP #2: 10/12/12-m/c at 5 wks.
Me: MTHFR, Low AMH (1.1), High NK cells and Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies. ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts.
Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy. Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!
The two IUIs were completed with a doctor when I was living in St Louis and I have now moved to Nothern Michigsn so I had to switch doctors. I can understand what your saying with wanting the best with IUIs, but another piece is I have to drive two hours away to get the procedure done since he is the closest RE to me and that can cost some money with gas and what not and if TI is just a small percentage less then I think I may try one more then have the discussion of moving on to IUIs. Thanks for the input!
My DH has fine counts and my dr has left it up to me in the past- but strongly encouraged IUI if we could afford it as extra assurance that we were timing everything perfectly. Do whatever you are comfortable with.
Thanks for the input! My DH is just frustrated that we had to switch doctors a couple of times and he wants to put our trust in this doctor...so when I told him another round of TI he said that is what we need to do then and trust this doctor....so, I'm thinking one more round and then have the discussion of moving on....
