Allergies and pregnancy

Had anyone experienced allergies for the first time while pregnant? I'm planning to call my MW, but it's been terrible this weekend and I didn't know if it's normal to get them for the first time while pregnant. It sucks.

    Never had allergies in my life until I got knocked up.

    My doctor told me it is very common for pregnant women to all of a sudden have allergies. She also told me I could take Claritin. NOT claritin DH. Mine are pretty bad!!
