I had planned to just use the bassinet attachment for our pack n play but DD wouldn't sleep in it. I got the RnP and she loved that thing, and so did I! I think we used the RnP until about 5 or 6 months. I loved how portable it was!
Love the RnP. I liked the incline and that it was really easy to transport. We moved it from room to room, took it to other homes, and even took it camping.
I got a RNP for DS2 because everyone raves about it. He slept better flat and I hated it because it caused chin to chest and I could hear him breathing much louder than he did in the bassinet. We took the RNP to my parents house and it did get some use once he was older (2-4 months) as a place to set him down while we ate or he needed to nap over there.
We used a bassinet for newborn sleep and I had the rock n play in the bathroom so LO could sit in it while I showered. FF to reflux diagnoses and we are still sleeping in the RNP now at 6 months. Every time I try and transition him to his crib we run into reflux trouble.
