  Love it! We're planning to have breakfast together then do a mom and me handprint thing. Then lunch with my mom. So far that's it! My gift is a family picture session tomorrow that we're splurging on a bit.

  That's awesome! I would have loved to hire someone but DH would never go for that and there aren't many good photographers around here.

  I really don't get specific mother's day gifts.  He in the past has taken Summer and Leah and allowed them to pick me up something.   I got a mom ring last year.
  

  I have a DH, if I mention that I like something, usually in a few months it's mine.  

  Recently a very expensive car seat showed up on my door.  It goes back to me being a car seat addict.  I now need to convince him that I need one more..   I have fallen in love with it.

  for the day, I would like to go to church, but spend the rest of the day at home, with the exception of a trip to the beach and BBQ steaks.

  I've hinted that I want a necklace from sweet blossom gifts, but I probably won't get it since I hinted for my pandora bracelet for 2 years before I got it. I would love to spend the day as a family, but I know MIL will throw a huge fit if we don't go down there, so we will probably be spending an hour and a half in the car to do that.

  I hinted at a necklace I wanted so DH told me to make sure it was the one I wanted and we ordered it. On Mother's Day we're all going to church and Bella's getting Baptized then we are having our parents, siblings and grandparents over for lunch after. Hopefully no one will stick around all day and we can go for a walk as a family and then lounge.

  My MIL will be in town for the weekend, so on Sunday morning DH is getting up early to go to his sister's house to make brunch, then MIL, DD and I will meet them there. I told DH today that on our way home I want to stop at Dairy Queen for a blizzard.
  
  I already know what DH got me, but it most likely won't be here in time for mother's day. It's a baby book for DD. Yes, I know we're 9 months late. :

  I sent DH a link to a necklace that I liked. Mothers day our wedding anniversary and my Birthday are all in the same week. Lucky DH!

  I told him today that I would like to visit with our moms on Saturday so that just our little family can do something on Sunday. I am thinking going to the zoo, since I wanted to go this weekend and wasn't able to...

  I also want to do this because I know that it will piss MIL off, she is not one of my favorite people....BIL already told her he is going out of town for the weekend and then if we do something just us on Sunday she will be pouting for a week!   My DH is good at this stuff, I would expect nothing less.

  I'm banking on a new Michael Kors rose gold watch and brunch at the club so I don't have to mess up my kitchen for one day

  I'm so jealous! 

  DH is going away with friends on a trip that we usually go on every year.  Its a special event that only happens on specific days during the year so I didn't want to stop him from going.  I'm staying home with DS since he's too young to go this year.  So yup DH will not be home for my first Mother's Day.  I told him he'd have to make it up to me.

  I'm...just going to see what happens. I don't like asking for things and lining out what stuff I want or want done seems to defeat the purpose. I'd like to feel appreciated, I don't really care how he makes it happen. We haven't discussed anything. Maybe I'm naive in assuming he'll just think something up?

  I told DH not to get me a gift but I do want to go out and do something together as a family.  Even if its just going to the park or having brunch somewhere.
