So apparently DD (14 months) was fighting a nap and slammed into her DCP's face the other day. It's really black - it looks like she was punched in the face! You hear about kids getting hurt at daycare, but never this! DCP has been great about it, though. She said that she knows things like this happen. Her husband told me that DD has caused him a world of trouble because people keep (jokingly) blaming him.
So would you do anything or just let it be? I know that it was an accident, but I feel so bad!
Re: DD blacked DCP's eye
Eek--I fear something like this too. I would bring a treat just to show you recognize her hard work and her understanding.
On a related note, about four months ago, my DS split my lip while fighting a nap. We were on my bed and while I was holding/rocking him, he grabbed the video monitor and slammed it into my mouth. Blood, bruising, and lots of swearing under my breath followed.
