cervical length

Hey Ladies,

I have a question about cervical length and when its suppose to decrease. I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and the length was 3.8cm. I think had another ultrasound 3/4 weeks later (A/S ultrasound) and the length is 3.2cm. Is this normal? Is cervical length suppose to start decreasing around this point?

It can fluctuate and also the way the tech measures. If dr isn't concerned, I wouldn't be either.

thank you ladies! My doctor doesnt always pay attention to the details so its hard when i notice things like this.

This. Also, 3 to 4 cm is considered normal. I have to get mine checked frequently and the measurements even vary at the same appointment. Last appt it was between 2.9 and 3.3.

As long as it as above 2.5, you shouldn't worry. I am checked every four weeks for cervical length. 3.2 is normal.
