Just curious as to when LO is to graduate to the next nipple size on bottles. We use Dr Brown bottles and I know we have multiple levels. I dont get the chance to feed LO from bottle often, because if he's not nursing I am pumping. He seems to do just fine so far but what should I be looking for to know when to switch? TIA!!

Re: when to change nipple size
This.
We just recently moved up to stage 2 (I think typically they recommend around 3mo) because DD was starting to get frustrated while eating and collapsing the nipple. She's doing better now that we moved up.
DD seems to be a stronger sucker (I don't know what other term to use, lol) than DS was. She sucks on her hands and fingers and has always sucked harder at things that he did. I think we moved up to stage 2 with him when he was like 6mo and never got beyond that and he took a bottle until he was ~ 1 3/4 years. He was fine with the stage 2.
So, we'll see what happens with DD, but I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't move up unless they seem to need it. Seems like that would be a good idea for a mostly breastfed baby too, but that's JMO

This. I know we'll have to move up at some point, but I'm letting DS call the shots on that one. I figure your nipple size doesn't get bigger, so I'm not going to push a bigger bottle nipple size.

I'm with you on this, I see no need to move up unless he starts collapsing nipples. I still try to nurse and he does pretty well with it at night and I think if he had a higher flow bottle he'd expect the same flow from me and that's not happening.
