Hello ladies. I posted this on the Feb 13 board and someone suggested posting here because you all may have more experience with it. TIA!
So DS is in full blown teething mode. He is fussy a lot, running a low grade temp at night, drool is everywhere and he is chewing on anything and everything that he can get into his mouth. And he is fighting sleep like it's his job. He sleeps about 30-40 min during the day at a time where before he would sleep 2-3 hours. At night he sleeps like a champ typically STTN from 8 to 6 or so, but getting him there is a struggle. I've tried giving him the frozen teething rings and he likes chewing on rags too but by 6:30 he becomes a monster from his lack of sleep coupled with his temp (99 - 99.5, nothing too major) and his pedi had told me that if he gets too fussy I could give him tylenol but since this has been an every night occurrence for the last 4 nights I'm hesitant to give it to him every night. So I've given him a half dose every other night (2 times total) but don't want to continue doing this.If it weren't for his temp I wouldn't have used it at all. So does any one have any suggestions on how to make him feel better during the day so he sleeps better? And also when do you guys decide it's time to break out the tylenol?
Re: Teething issues
I swear by amber teething necklaces.
It's certainly worth a shot if you're looking for something to ease your LO's discomfort
I only break out Tylenol if I have to. Usually it's at night (things are always worse at night, it seems
) and sleep is being majorly interrupted and it's obvious they're struggling with pain. I haven't had to worry about this with DD yet, thankfully. Also, keep in mind you really don't need to treat a fever, especially when you know it's teething related. Only use the Tylenol if your LO is in pain.

Amber teething necklace!! Love ours.
Don't be afraid to use tyelnol. I don't want DS to be in pain if there is a way I can help him, so I give him 1/2 doses when he needs them.
This just comes with the territory. It'll pass, as least!
We give half doses as well. LO loves cold wash cloths, he will chew on them for a good while.
