Petunia Pickle Bottom bags

Does anyone have a petunia pickle bottom bag? FTM so I don't know the price range of what is acceptable. I am kind of a purse person, ok really a purse person and this is the best I found. The diaper bag I am looking at is the Abundance Boxy Backpack in Oslo? Would you recommend yes or no?

Re: Petunia Pickle Bottom bags

  • A few mom's from my April '11 BMB like and recommend them. They were just on Zulily or Totsy not that long ago for a discounted price.

I have two! I am addicted...

I have the City Carryall and The Weekender bag. I love both! The City Carryall is really narrow, like the Boxy and does not allow for over-stuffing. The Weekender can be stuffed to the max and is still easy to carry.

The Boxy is great when you have both hands full. I just put the Carryall over my chest like a messanger bag and it worked great.

Excellent quality, but you are paying for that, so expect to spend almost $200 or slightly under for one. Check Ebay.

IMO PPB looks too much like a diaper bag for purse people like you and I. Especially for a few hundred dollars! Have you checked out Timi and Leslie bags? They are half the price for the most part and look more like a purse you would carry everyday!
Rosenberryrooms.com has like every single diaper bag in one place and you can narrow down to what you really like. Happy shopping either way!

Thank you for recommending these.  I just looked at them and they are exactly what I've been looking for.  Stylish non diaper bag looking diaper bags.

  • They look a lot like Vera's to me. My friends sister insisted on one. I'm also a purse person and was looking at these, but DH said I could get a Coach one if I wanted. His cousin works for them and he gets a discount, so I was alllll for it.

  • I have 2! The weekender and the satchel! Love love love them and they are so well made. The satchel is a bit small IMO for a newborn but is great for an older baby!

  • I had one that was a brocade fabric very cute but the way it attached to shopping carts and strollers with velcro was a bit of a pain and it also snagged and tore the fabric on the bag up. Not very practical. I loved my fleurville bag seemed sturdier I carried it as a purse and got a ton of compliments. I also like my skip hop bag but it is huge because I got it to fit stuff for a toddler and new born so it won't be very practical for one baby. Of all the bags I liked the way the skip hope attached to shopping carts the best.

  • I just ordered a cute satchel from www.laylagrayce.com.  It was on sale.  I think it s super cute.

  • FTM here and I bought a PB glazed Sashay Satchel for my diaper bag.  I waited for a good price on amazon and ended up getting a 170 bag for 124.  I love it! DH isn't a fan, but we decided when he is taking the kiddo somewhere he'll just use one of his backpacks :-)
  • I just picked up a boxy today at Nordstrom. It was clearanced - $112 marked down from $180. But I just got it home and (admittedly it's very girly) my husband is refusing to ever use it when he goes out with the kids alone. We have a Skip Hop from DD that we always left packed ready to go that either of us would grab and take whenever one of us went out with her. But it's been used and abused and needs replacing. Now that I'm out of my sale shopping Nirvana, I don't see him taking the PPB....might have to go back cause I'm not dealing with constantly switching bags.

  • My husband swore he wouldn't carry mine, bought him a man bag, what did he end up doing? Grabbing my girlie bag that was fully stocked.

  • Check out Timi & Leslie and JuJuBe. The JuJuBe's are SUPER cute and the BFF is a backpack style, but they are still girly and very functional.

  • If you're really interested in a bag that looks more like a purse, Kate spade, Tory burch, Marc Jacobs have some really cute ones, but they're pricey. Also a brand called Bebe beau, I think, has some. I found them on rosenberryrooms.com
