Boba Air vs Ergo torn

Hi ladies! I just bought the Boba Air and liked it but I'm not sure if it's going to be good for us. I thought I would like that it is higher than the Ergo. I've read that people feel like the baby is going to fall out in back carry with the Ergo. When I try to carry my daughter (14 months about 18 pounds, she's petite) she gets fussy and doesn't seem to like her arms tucked in at all. I got the Boba Air because I am in FL. and it's so lightweight. Plus I love that I can throw it in the diaper bag if need be. I was going to purchase either a Boba 3G or Ergo Organic as well so the Air isn't my only go to so I'd have something for longer trips and would need extra padding. I'm wondering if the Ergo is best for toddlers who like their arms out. It seems like when she pulls her arms out in the front carry of the Boba Air it's right under her arm pits and it seems like it rubs it. I wonder since she is small and also on the shorter side the Ergo wouldn't be an issue?? I'm new to carriers. I had a maya wrap that I lost..grr! But only ever wore her on my hip. Any opinions or thoughts to help me out.

OH and to add I am 5'3 and about 118 so is the Ergo even good or someone my size? If there is another type of carrier you think would be better please let me know!

I would see if you can find a group near you to try things on; buckles can be tough to get a good fit, particularly if you are petite. I don't feel like the Ergo is a good fit on me and I'm definitely not as small as you. Plus the body size is relatively small - it would work but not as well as other options IMO. The Action Baby Toddler might work well for y'all (the waist is padded instead of structured so you could buckle it higher on you shortening the body a bit). A standard Kinderpack with the perfect fit adjusters would also be a good fit. You might also look into mei tais or woven wraps as those will be more "custom fits" unless you want to stick wtih buckles.
