Babies on the Brain

I know nothing about baseball.

Allie wants to get H a baseball glove for his birthday. She likes throwing ball with H and she has a glove.  Now I am trying to figure out what brand, size, shape, position, hand, etc glove to buy.  Why does she do this to me? lol

Anyone have a clue about what to buy? He is right handed with everything. Does he need a left handed glove?

Re: I know nothing about baseball.

  • If he throws right-handed then yes, a left-handed glove is what you'd want. :)

  • Left had glove, infielders glove is probably fine for playing catch.  Just go to Dicks and they will help you.

  • If he's right handed, then he needs a glove for his left hand (although it is actually a right handed glove, because the right handed part refers to which hand you throw with).  I second an infielders glove, if it is just going to be used for catch.  I wouldn't worry about the brand, but look for a glove that the leather is softer (easier to squeeze) because it will require less "breaking in."  I recommend trying the glove on and seeing how easy it is to squeeze.  Other than that I usually pick out my glove based on price.
