Anyone have any nursery/baby projects they're working on or planning to do? I'm going to be starting a mobile soon and am planning to do a concrete garden stepping stone each year with baby's footprint! Kind of excited...
Because I can't quite find the bedding I want for my little guys room that has all the accessories I was looking for I'll probably end up doing things like making curtains for both the windows and the closet, making a few paintings for his wall, possible making some felt animals for his mobile so it ties in a bit better, painting a lampshade to match what I'm looking for. All kinds of stuff!
I'll probably end up making the curtains and some wall hanging/decorations (either covering the art canvas things with fabric or putting fabrics in different size embroidery hoops).
I'd also like to work on a quilt (doubt that will get done), a couple PUL backed changing mats, and some cloth wipes.
I knit, so I will make a baby blanket. I also plan to see my curtains. I will stalk some other Pinterest ideas as well. I love crafting. I don't know the sex yet, but once I do, I will have more crafts decided.
I'm making a mobile for over the crib, some art for the walls and I'm decoupaging her first initial letter for the wall. DH is also building some book ledges.
I've made two felted mobiles (one for above the crib, and one for above the change table), two blankets (one knit and one sewn), and a knit bear hood for winter.
I also have lots of material to make some other things, but haven't decided what yet. I think I'd like to make a linen crib skirt and I've started making a summer quilt out of linen squares.
I plan on making some vinyl wall decals, and some other wall art with scrapbook paper. I also plan on making some kind of mobile, and possible making curtains. I'm still not sure how I'm going to decorate the nursery, though. I've got lots of ideas, but nothing solid yet.
I made DS1's bedding and curtains, and will do the same for this LO. I guess I'm too picky and can never find bedding I like that much. I also need to make more cloth wipes, since I'll most likely have two in diapers unless DS1 potty trains soon.
For DD, I made her curtains & bedskirt. I also made a matching boppy cover & changing pad cover.
We are in the process of moving so I am not sure if I will undertake that for #2. If I do, I will also have to make new stuff for DD since the original stuff I made no longer go with her decor (I want to switch it up).

I'm planning to make curtains for both DS's big boy room and the nursery. Never made them before so we'll see how it goes.
Once I'm ready to commit to a name I'll make wall letters too.

I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
I wouldn't say that I am crafty but I plan on making baby a rag time quilt. My grandmother normally makes one for all of the great grandkids but I doubt she will ever get around to it. I might make burp clothes as well.
I'm really not very crafty, but I'm going to attempt a bunch of things, with help from my mom and crafty friends!
Mom is making the curtains and crib skirt, and I'm recovering some older throw pillows for the couch in the baby's room (I CAN sew in a straight line at least!)
All in the appropriate orange & aqua colors, of course We're not really doing a theme, but I'm going to incorporate some animals (elephants and monkeys) inot some of the d?cor!

I'll be making quite a few things for the nursery and baby, but probably my biggest project will be recovering the cushions on a rocker I got on Craigslist. I'm not a great sewer, so it will be a challenge!

My mom did this for me so I was very spoiled! She was a big sewer as a teen but hadn't sewed in over 20 years and it was fine. We made the back of the cushion a solid thinner fabric so it was easier to sew...

I made these (out of scrapbook paper)
I also made a cross stitch but I don't have a picture of it, this is the same one though

Yes, I have a blog and it's hilarious (except when it's not)
DST T4L
We did that too, but I didn't even count it as crafting

Those are really cute! I love the skunk one! Did you make them from tons of cutouts or were the pictures just on a sheet of scrapbook paper?

Just sheets of paper. I cut them out free hand.

I'm crocheting a blanket for him now and will make a few hats.
