I'll start- my friend/coworker's husband is here at school today. I think he is incredibly obnoxious, and it is taking all of my will power not to tell anyone.

A little back story, I live with my mom(ugh). A few months after I moved in, my grandmother moved in too. We all knew it was coming, just happened a little sooner than we thought.
So, my dog cannot eat anything with corn, wheat, or dairy. Corn and wheat make her itch like crazy and dairy makes her puke. I've told my gmother a million and 10 times DO NOT FEED MY DOG! She feeds her dog crap...anything she's eating, goes to fast food places and gets her food, and orders things at restaurants to take home to the dog. I'm not one that feeds animals table food anyway but especially sense my dog is sensitive. I even went so far as to 'make' my gmother buy her dog my dog's kind of food so that she wasn't eating crappy dog food because there's really no way to keep my dog out. We've gone round and round and round with this. And I'm at my breaking point. I've had to bite my tongue a million times.
So, my confession, I seriously almost cussed my gmother yesterday! Like it was coming out of my mouth and I barely caught myself. I was furious! She said, "I found something the dogs won't eat" and I immediately started getting pissed. So I asked what? She said, "cheese". I immediately felt my bp rise. I raised my voice to her, shamefully, and said I've told you over and over DO NOT FEED Ally, especially dairy. Her response was, "you said don't give her milk". No gmother I told you don't give her dairy, "oh well, I thought you just meant milk". No, I've told you she can't have anything dairy, unless you want to clean up puke. "Oh, well, she didn't eat it anyway". We had just had a conversation the night before about her feeding her crap because I was standing right there when she was giving her something and said to her then, again, please don't feed Ally. All the stuff you're giving her is making her itchy and it's driving me nuts. She said, "yeah, I know. I was trying to take a nap today and she did was laid there licking and scratching the whole time. I couldn't take a nap." I told her stop feeding her and it won't be an issue.
I'm seriously considering getting rid of my dog, for my dog's health sake. I've told her if she wants to feed her dog crap, then lock my dog out of her area but please stop. She won't listen to me and now my dog's health is in jeopardy and I'm thinking about giving her to someone just so she's not miserable.
Sorry this got so long, but I warned you, lol. I'm just seriously pissed and REALLY disliking my gmother!!!!!
When I read/hear other women complain about their husbands/SOs, I brag to myself about how lucky I am to have such an amazing man. Then I feel like a heel because my thoughts are so obnoxious.

I do the same thing. I don't verbalize how great MH is, b/c frankly I don't think anyone would care, but it seriously makes me appreciate him even more when I read/hear how jerky some husbands are.

Yup, when I think of you I go to obnixious right away! Silly Lancy....
FFFC, I let Allison run around with food in her hand/mouth in the morning. She doesn't eat breakfast right away but I always give her string cheese or animal crackers but never put her in her high chair when I do.

I confessed this exact thing a couple of weeks ago.

You made me smile today!
I let Aria run around with food in the morning too... but it's for selfish reasons. If I let her eat breakfast "drive-thru" style, most of the time she'll grab whatever I'm giving her, bring her blankey and her sippy, and plop right in my lap. She'll sit there and eat her entire breakfast, watching her morning cartoons (GASP! TV time!). It's about the only snuggle time I get anymore, and I'm NOT willing to give that up!
This pregnancy has turned me into such a b!tch that I feel like I shouldn't talk to people at all. I'm having a hard time suppressing the snark.
My husband, who has been quoted saying that his wife is the sweetest, most caring woman he's ever met...Said I was evil last week. He keeps saying "man this is a lot different than Colton."
My FFFC: I have eaten out for lunch almost every day for 2 weeks. It's SO hard to think of something that I'll want to eat for lunch when I'm getting ready at 7am.
I want to punch my 71 y/o coworker. He is truly incapable of doing anything on his own. True story...He walks through the office door with a box and before he even goes to his own office says "So you're going to help me get this thing going right?"
YOU DIDN'T EVEN OPEN THE MOTHER F*CKING BOX, DUDE. READ DIRECTIONS. TRY. PLEASE...FOR THE SAKE OF MY SANITY PLEASE TRY TO DO SOMETHING ON YOUR OWN!
I have to do everything for this guy, AND do my own job. He makes 6x more than me. NO. JOKE.
This could get long, sorry, but I need to vent! .......
This is terrible! Do you give your dog anything to help with her allergic reaction? At least then you can help make her comfortable when your grandmother forgets the rules. My vet once recommended some human antihistimines for one of our dogs. I think Tavist was one that was dog safe.
This is a good idea. We give our Shih-Tzu Benadryl twice a day for her allergies. It was recommended by our vet.

If I was 71, and could get away with having my hot, young co-worker help me with all of my work, I'd totes do it. (ok, ok, I might even do it now if I could get away with it!) I'm guessing that while he might need help, he's also enjoying the scenery.
I snack on popcorn a lot and I used to feed it to Cody. Last week I read that it is a big choking hazard for children. Sad face.
I wish someone handed out a list of all common household things that are really, really dangerous for young children. I know about grapes and hotdogs, but apparently popcorn is even more dangerous than those. Why don't people talk about this more???
Ok now I feel like a mommy failure. Grapes and hotdogs are chocking hazards? Is it just if they aren't cut up? Also popcorn? Uh oh. Caroline loves popcorn. We break it into tiny pieces. I need that list asap!
I just asked a random guy at Target if Confirmation and Communion are the same thing. Pretty sure he thought I was an idiot. Shrug. I know nothing about religion.

If you are a mommy failure, then so am I.
I feel like people need to do what is comfortable for them and their child. Everything these days is a safety hazard. Do I follow all the safety rules for children-no, but I do what I think is important and what I am comfortable with. I feed L grapes cut up into fourths. I don't feed him hot dogs, because I think they are gross and don't like the flavor, so I don't even bother cooking them for Landon. I would give Landon popcorn if we had any around and just break it up. I don't see why these food items are any different than any other food you have to break up into a chunk and then feed it to them? Landon has yet to figure out how to actually take a bite of something so I still cut his food into tiny pieces. I know that I can't just give him a chunk of something without him choking on it, so I have to cut it small enough for him to be able to slightly chew and then swallow. Again, I think it all depends on on what your LO can handle and how comfortable you feel giving it to them.

Not a food, but I read this yesterday. We don't even own the stuff but I had no idea...

Could I give her Benadryl. Yes! Should I have to because my gmother won't listen to what I say? NO! She's royally pissing me off about this...to the point, like I said, that I almost cussed her and I'm seriously considering getting rid of my dog.

Oh, I totally agree with you that you shouldn't have to! I was just throwing that out there, in case your pup needed some relief. We have a "no table food" rule for our dogs too, and I've had more than my fair share of "discussions" with my family about this. It's beyond frustrating. I hope you find a solution soon.
I used to totally judge people who gave their kids some sort of portable electronic device to entertain them while out at a restaurant. I always thought, if your kid can't behave, you shouldn't go out to dinner.
Well, I am totally that parent now. It's not like my DS plays on my phone or ipad all during dinner, but in between ordering and when the food comes, he can get really antsy, and he's perfectly content to play angry birds, so we let him do it! Could we stay home and not go out to eat? of course, but that would just make me sad!! .
Here's another FFFC: Sometimes, when I'm just scrolling through posts, I confuse Jmccall and Sept07b2b, since they have similar tickers and their avatars are both dark backgrounds. Whoops!
Oh, which makes me think of one more! Someone on here used to have the same ticker as me. I sort of kept track of them, since we were like "ticker sisters", even though I wished they'd change it. Now they have, and I can't remember for the life of me who it was. It makes me sad! (and crazycakes, and a bit ridiculous.)
I know you guys won't actually flame me for this. But I just need to say it out loud.
I just put Lucia down for a nap (we're home today), and now I should be getting things done (budgeting, dishes, cleaning, starting dinner, etc.). Instead I am going to lay on the couch and watch crappy tv. I just feel so terrible today - queasy and exhausted. But H is working his a** off at school these days, and is pretty miserable, and I know that the more I get done around here, the less he has to help with. But I just feel so terrible I don't think I can do anything but lay around and eat pickles. I feel so guilty about this (Even though he would tell me he just wants me to relax and take care of myself).

This made me laugh. I never noticed that!!! I'm afraid to change it though because I worry people won't recognize me anymore if I do! You never know what it is about your profile that people associate with you!
