XP: Moving with a newborn

So, crazy thing: My H just got offered a fantastic job in another city, so now we're moving 4 1/2 hours' drive away in two months, and I'm going to have a new baby halfway a month into that.  Any advice from anyone who's moved with a newborn?  I also already have an almost two-year-old.

 Thanks!!

  • We're selling our house and will be in between houses and a rental while having a newborn and a two and a half year old. I'm nervous but we need to sell!!! I'm just trying not to stress. Good luck.

  • If you can afford it, pay for the movers to do the packing. That was some of the best money I ever spent.

This, ideally get them to pack.  If you can't afford that then at least get them for the actual move, it relieves so much stress.  Also start looking into OBs/pedi's in the area you will be moving to as soon as you can.

I can relate a little bit, DH is in the middle of discussions with his company about a potential move to Australia for us that would probably mean moving sometime between July-Oct for us literally around the world.  I'm due with our second the first week of December so the whole life up in the air thing is crazy.
