What is considered a normal/good progesterone level CD20/ 7dpo?

My RE likes to see 10+ in a non-medicated cycle or 15+ in a medicated cycle.

    **Warning - Child Mentioned**

Me: 33, DH: 39   Unexplained Infertility

4 IUIs (chlomid) in 2013 which resulted in DS born in April 2014

    TTC #2 since August 2015

5 rounds of IUIs (1 chlomid: resistent, 1 femara, 3 gonal f) = all BFN

ER March 9: 26 eggs retrieved, 19 mature and 17 fertilized, 8 made it to genetic testing, 4 normal!

    FET #1 5/31 = BFN

    FET#2 7/26 = BFP!

  • 10+ is what they want to see. BUT don't get discouraged, just because you don't have 10+ doesn't mean you can't get pregnant. I had low progesterone (like 1.2 after O) and was put on clomid, which was helping but very minimally. I had a level 5, 6dpo and was told to pick up the next clomid dosage for my last chance before having to see an RE. Picked it up but never had to take it, bfp. Anything can happen!

  • Thanks for the info. My level came back at 7.
  • Last time mine was checked it was 6.36 or something. My OBGYN didn't even want me to have it tested, but I pushed...she also didn't care that my LP is getting shorter and shorter.

Thank goodness for our upcoming RE appointment because if I had to listen to her "explain" shizz to me one more time I was gonna hurl.

  • My RE said anything over 10 without medication and anything over 15 with medication. My progesterone was 2.2 on 7dpo and I was put on progesterone suppositories which made my LP longer. The next time I had my progesterone tested was during a cycle I took Femara without progesterone suppositories and it was 15. My luteal phase was a normal 16 days that cycle.
