Natural Birth

You girls are amazing

I have never posted anything here before but I do read almost everything on this forum. I just wanted to say that not only are you amazing for wanting to do this all natural but for the way you tell your stories, coach each other and for how positive and supportive you guys are. I'm 22 and I'm gonna be a FTMdue on May 17 so very nervous. I know I can do this medfree sooooo much more now...so much more confidently because of all of you. So anyway, just wanted to say thanks!!

Re: You girls are amazing

  • I agree! I'm a lurker and I find all the posts on this board to be so helpful, informative and supportive for nervous FTM such as ourselves.

    Thank you everyone!

  • That's awesome that you guys feel supported. We always get posts on here from Mums to be feeling anything but supported.

I've had two fantastic natural births, and I can truly say I LOVE giving birth. yeah it hurts, and yeah it's hard work, but it's all kind of awesome too.

Best wishes with your upcoming birth!! Please come back and tell us about your birth story!!

  • I join the thankful group!!

I'm also FTM, Mexican living in Holland, when they told me that they don't give epidurals very often in this country I just FREAKED OUT! Like to the point of crying with my husband telling him I wanted to fo back to Mexico just to have a 'normal' birth where I would be hooked up to all these machines, etc... in my brain, that was normal.

Then I found this forum and started asking questions and reading posts and now I am soooo glad I am living in a natural birth friendly country in which they won't even ask if I would like the epidural and I get a MW and homebirth covered by insurance.

As KateLouise said, most of us come here feeling very unsupported, my brother even told me that it seems I want to risk having this baby in a barn :'(  just because he doesn't believe it's possible to go through it without all the medical interventions.

    Anyhow, THANK YOU ALL!!

  • What a nice post!

You are really close, I am so excited for you mama!  Bringing your baby into the world truly is one of the most amazing experiences.  Labor is hard work, no doubt about it, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.  Truthfully I feel kind of bad for DH that he will never know what it is like.

Please come back and update us when you can!  Best of luck!

  • This really is a great board and I got most of my inspiration here as a lurker.  Now that I had my med free birth, I try to offer my own story to help other mamas!
