Babies: 6 - 9 Months

just shoot me in the foot

So my lil one is 7 mths old and has always done perfect with sleeping. We moved while he was cutting teeth and he is just the same kid. He cries a lot. Throw fits when I sit him down. He does not want to eat and hates bed time. I have to struggle with him for two hours to get him asleep only for him to wake up at least 4 times. Last night it was a total of 18 times. I am exhausted and do not know how to make him better. I am trying to keep his schedule the same so I am not sure what is wrong but I know I can not deal with another night like last night. Any advice???? I willing to try it. Thanks for letting me vent a little.

  • More teeth still coming in? The gums can still be tender even after teeth have popped through. Could baby be sick? Sore throat? Nose congested? The not wanting to eat would be where I would start troubleshooting. Sorry......not sleeping is no good!

  • Idk when you moved but it took LO about 2 weeks to settle into our new home when we moved at 6 months. I let her sleep in bed with me for a week and we played in her bedroom to get her use to her surroundings. Babies get stressed when they aren't home and your LO probably needs time to adjust if it was recent.
  • My LO is a bit younger, but we had a similar experience when LO hit 4 months.  Was up every 1/2 hour.  Without fail.  And it was awful.  We started sleep training and that solved our problem.  We're about to move, so I'm glad to have this heads up that it could be unsettling for him.
