I hate my bras and undies!

My underwire bras are so uncomfortable these days! At the end of a long day the skin under my ta-tas is very tender and almost feels bruised! :( I can't wait till these babes shrink back down to an acceptable size! My bras without underwire aren't as bad but i feel like i can only wear them around the house since they don't do a great job of lifting and separating! lol. Will they stay the same size for breastfeeding or grow even more?! If they grow any larger i think i might cry!

AND in the last week my underwear has been digging in and is uncomfortable as well! ughhhhh! The band is starting to cut into my belly and the sides of the crotch area is rubbing a bit on my legs cause they are too tight! (thanks a lot 40 lbs weight gain! yay) I think i need to go buy a bigger size or give in and get a pack of maternity underwear.

Anyone else with these issues the last few weeks!?!

Re: I hate my bras and undies!

  • Uhggg, yes. My underwires have been killing me, and these puppies need them. I said fluck it though--I went to my old sports bra style nursing bra. I have to use nursing pads in them though so I'm not nippin' out at work all day.

  • Yep I feel ya! I rarely wear underwire bras anymore. Even though I feel like they dont lift as well, the comfort factor is a lot more important to me!

Yep! Know the feeling.  My undies just started to roll down because my belly is getting so big!

I don't have this problem exactly, but my bras are starting to irritate the heck out of me. I became suddenly desperately unable to wear underwire at around Week 8 and bought two wireless bras. I have an unusual size (teeny ribcage, well-endowed) so I have to buy them all at this specialty store where they give you lots of feedback and help. They said that I should buy a couple of bras then (one size bigger underbust, two in the boob area--slightly loose all around) because my ribcage would expand, and then wait until later in the pregnancy to get more when my ribcage would most certainly expand again. But my ribcage did not expand any more, and my boobs didn't really either (yet--33 weeks now), so by the time I noticed that my bras are really floppy and THAT is why I'm always so uncomfortable (a couple of weeks ago), it didn't seem worth it to get more when I'll just be having to buy nursing bras in the next week or so. But they just don't lift or separate much at all, and they're big on me, and it's really irritating, especially since once I became a good-fitting-bra convert my standards for my own bras got a lot higher. If they weren't pretty they would have no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

My underwear was doing that to me last week. I went out and bought two sizes up in the Hanes brand microfiber underwear. They have very very small side seams (that is the part that was cutting in the worst). Anything that is advertised as no lines will help decrease cutting in too.

    Good luck.

P.S. bras totally suck in general.

  • Yes, my bra's are beginning to become very uncomfortable. My boobs are getting too large, and heavy for these bra's to support. I plan on buying my nursing bra's this month, or the first part of June, and start wearing those.

My undies are still fine, but sometimes I feel them digging into my hips. not a huge deal though, I hope to not have to buy new undies, I only have 7 weeks left.

My underwear are rolling too. Has anybody tried the underwear at Motherhood Maternity that have the fold over tops? I'm wondering if they are any good.

I gave in and bought maternity underwear last week from tyme and motherhood. I really hate fold o er bikini from motherhood. They don't fit me well at all, loose in the waist, but don't cover my butt 100. I like the ones from tyme a little more, though don't think they were worth the extra .

Underwire, what's that? I've been living in Body by Victoria bras without underwire. They are so comfy.

As for undies, I thought MM's sucked. I returned them. I've been wearing boy cut panties from Victoria's Secret.
  • I'm having a terrible time with the underboob area! The skin feels completely raw. Seriously, it's almost unbearable. And I've pretty much been living in genie bras. Wtf? I was actually just sitting here brainstorming what I could do for relief. Only thing I've thought of is ice, which is kind of meh. Harrumph.

  • When I went up a size with my 1st to a 38DDD(lord help me), I got bras without underwire, much more comfy!......unfortunately, they never went back down in size. Invest in better bras and maternity underwear.

  • I got a few bras without underwire a couple months ago because it was killing me!  I have been considering getting some new undies because they are getting tight around my legs and I'm afraid I will ruin them trying to stretch them and then ultimately need new undies after baby comes!  I'm also on the verge of getting new bras because I have grown more since the last time I got bras....I'm hoping to hold off until I have the baby so I can go straight to nursing bras, but I'm not sure if I'll make it...lol

Check out Kohls for bra sales....they always have like BOGO and what not.  That's were I got my bras a couple months ago.
