Finally TTC

We thought everything was a go 2 months ago, and then my CMV test came back positive.  The dr didn't really explain much, he just said we needed to wait 3-4 more weeks and then I could get tested again.  I did, and apparently my numbers were still high.  So, long story short (minus a lot of the crying) I went to an infectious disease doctor to see what was going on (this was yesterday) and we have been released and recommended to start.  Well...seeing as my period started last week, that puts us at trying by next week. Fingers are crossed that this is going to go well.  Ultrasound on Wednesday to determine follicle size and then we have a shot to take (not clomid, but a productive shot---forgot the name) and 36 hours later we get to try!!!

 

I am excited and nervous.  This is both mine and my wife's first try!  Keep us in your thoughts!

    Congrats on starting!! Fingers crossed for you!

     We're also giving it our first try this cycle and we're just counting the days until we can finally get started.

    Good luck! The trigger shot is nothing to worry about. So your IUI will be unmedicated besides the trigger, which is a high amount of HCG. Hopefully you won't have to use Clomid, which comes in pill form, as it has nasty side effects for some people. I was miserable on Clomid.

    So all the best to you for quick, easy, and successful IUI!

    Good luck to you both. We are also ttc the first time this month. I hope we all have great results.

    I agree the excitement is great and the anxiety also does not go away.
