When we found out that I was going to M/C (and bonus ectopic pregnancy) from the first DE cycle, I was imediately thinking of how and when we could try again.
We had 1 embryo left from and I just coulnd't stomach the idea that we would go through process of preparing for the next cycle only to find out that the embryo didn't survive the thaw. I needed to know that there was more than 1 waiting for us. So I requesed that they create more embryo from the same donor (her eggs were in their frozen egg bank). We had to pay the full fee for an entire new anonymous egg donor cycle... which really hurt as we are entirely oop.
Good news, is that they don't only give you a finite set of eggs. What they do is thaw the eggs in batches until they have at least 2 viable high quality embryo. I they get more than that it's a bonus.
I received an email yesterday .... 6 new embryos. I can't believe it, last time it was only the 3. I am so relieved, I feel as though there still may be a chance we will be successful.
Trying so hard not to get overly excited, we still have so many hoops to jump through, and even then there is no gurantee, but I'll take this good news today!

hey if you dont mind me asking who did you use to get the donor eggs. I am in the we still have drugs and have transfer money but no embryo and everyone seems to be out
Baby boy Henry born 2015.
Expecting our capstone baby (boy) early March 2018.
We found our donor through an agency "Northwest Fertility". The woman there (who is awesome) sent a profile as a sample of the information we would get but let us know that particular donor was cyclying for another couple. Then, almost immediately, she said that the couple had to backout. She is our perfect donor, and she was ready - but I hadn't even had registered as a patient at our clinic (PNWF). The clinic retrieved her eggs and added them their anonymous donor egg bank, but held a set back for us. It's just luck that no one else chose her for this 2nd round.
I'm not sure if they have an embryo adoption program. But assume they must. If we have any left over when we are done I will want someone to be able to use them.
