My youngest will move in June and my oldest will be going to kinder in August so they will each be transitioning. We love their teachers - so what should I get for them? I don't remember doing anything really for them before, but DS #2's current teacher adores him - she texts me asking me for pics on the weekend because she missed him. She is our backup sitter at home too - for school holidays she often wants to sit for us if we need her for extra money since she is a single mom.
So I want her to know we appreciate her tremendously and have adored her and our son's time in her class. I know I want to do a special card for her and the teacher assistant, so I'm thinking do that and a gift card? I'd like to do a special card regardless, and a gift card, maybe with a small wallet size pic for her fridge? I know teachers get stuff of kids they don't need (apple mementos, etc.) but she seriously adores my kid - he is hands down her favorite and the other teachers tease her because of it!
Looking for suggestions, I think before I've just tied in teacher appreciation with the transition to the next class, so I feel like a newbie with this. thanks!
Re: Moving up to next classroom - gift to old teacher?
I gave these at Christmas to all the teachers. They were a big hit.

Then you can add a necklace or something. I like this one. https://www.etsy.com/listing/114861902/teacher-gift-end-of-the-year-gift-hand?ref=sr_gallery_28&ga_search_query=teacher+necklace&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_max=20&ga_search_type=all
