Anyone Have an ARC Cosleeper?

If so, which model did you get? I'm wondering if the convertible pack n' play upgrade is worth it. Also, I see you can attach it to the bed. How? We have a pretty high bed so I'd like to have easy but safe access at night.  TIA!

Re: Anyone Have an ARC Cosleeper?

  • I have the full size arc. I like it. I bought it thinking that I would use it as a pack n play for travel. It is hard to put up and take down, so I bought a basic graco pack n play for travel. The graco is so fast and easy, great for late night arrivals.

I would look at the clear vue mini arc, it has built in leg leg extensions. It is only 100 at Walmart. Double check the height of your bed though, to make sure it will work.

     Thanks!  This helps!
  • I didn't think of the size factor when I registered for the mini (I simply did because that's all BRU had in their store), but looking back I'm so thankful we go the mini instead of the full size because the full wouldn't have fit next to our bed without totally rearranging and taking the headboard off our wall. The mini fits perfectly on my side of the bed with an inch or two between it and the wall behind it.

There are two straps connected to the front of co-sleeper (the part that goes along side your bed) and they thread under your mattress and anchor on the other side. We don't use those. There isn't any chance of it falling backward because of how close it is to the wall, and it stays right next to my bed easily, so I didn't think they were necessary.

Our bed is high too and I didn't purchase the leg extenders, thinking I'd see how things went before doing so. The mattress where LO sleeps is a little lower than my mattress, but it's not a pain or anything. I think the leg extenders would be nice if I took my nightstand out and had DD's head right up by mine, but I decided to keep the nightstand for storage, so having her a foot down from my head a few inches deeper isn't a problem.

Like PP said, putting the ARC together is a PITB. I have thought about taking it with us on trips, but it seems like more hassle than it's worth. Plus, I really wanted a GoCrib for travel (we just got one and love it so far!), so not having the PNP option hasn't been an issue for us.

So, if think you'll not want a travel crib, or if you don't want to buy a separate PNP/travel crib, and you have space in your room, go for the full size. Otherwise, get the mini. I think you'll be happy either way!
