Anyone know of any fun, kid friendly destinations in central or eastern PA? We are trying to meet some friends who live a few states away for a weekend, so we thought there might be a good place in between. Is Amish country a fun, family place?
I think Lancaster would be a great spot. Dutch Wonderland is much more family friendly than Hershey Park IMO. Don't get me wrong, Hershey is awesome, but it's huge, hot (lots of asphalt, very few trees) and doesn't have a lot of toddler rides. If you're a teenager or adult looking to do roller coaster, then Hershey Park would win hands down.

There is a place focuses on trains. I can't think of the town of the top of my head. But I second or third Hersey Park. Knobles is also kid friendly and a bit more budget friendly.
knobles is fun and I think it caters more to the younger children, if I remember correctly. h cant wait to take o there this summer!
