DH and I are seriously considering moving soon. Would love to hear your thoughts/experiences with the towns of Braintree and Canton. Particularly regarding schools. But would love any insight on neighborhoods, town facilities, taxes. Really any info is appreciated!! I've heard lots of different opinions on Braintree schools so not sure what to believe anymore!

Seems like these are both great towns just looking for some more info. Thanks so much!!

Braintree schools are fine, I live in the town next door to brairtree. Canton can be expensive
I live in Weymouth, which is next to Braintree. Braintree is a great town, easy access to highways, has a huge mall and tons of stores and other activities. In regards to schools, I think they are very good. There is a huge private well know school in braintree and people know that town. I recommend this town highly.
Also, Canton is more snobby town and is known for that. The schools are good, but life is more expensive there. It is a bit further away from things and Boston.
Best of luck in your decision. PM me for more info if you want.
I live in Braintree and so far my only experience with the schools has been with the town preschool. We have been very happy so far and the special ed services are excellent. Its something that Braintree is known for, at least in the lower grades. There is a problem with school crowding right now at the elementary schools that will have to be resolved over the next few years. So many people with young kids have moved to the town so the schools are bursting with kids. A full day K program has been growing and we are slated to send my son next year.
Unfortunately, we are probably moving before the start of the next school year since we can't find a large enough home to buy in town. I would have no problem staying put if it weren't for lack of housing options. The taxes are remarkably low since there is so much business in town. The location is great for accessibility to Rt 3 or 93 and having a red line station is great too. Some parts of town are better than others, but we have been very happy in the Thayer academy area. The water and electric are town utilities so the response is fast and cost is low.
Good luck in your search!
