Let me preface by saying, I LOVE animals. I have always been an animal lover, and even a cat lover.
However, I do not love that every single fricken stray cat on my block uses my plants outside as a litter box. It also does not help that the neighbor across the street feeds said stray cats.
How can I keep them out of my plants? I called the city to see if they would come catch them. They said no.
Eta. I titled this post cat sh!t and the bump said no.
Re: Cat Poop.
One of the tips was cayenne pepper. For my issue, basically pour it around the perimeter of my yard. Maybe pour it around your plants?
Tis the season for kitty kittys....Sorry about the stray problem.
We also have a cat issue, I feel your pain.
For the third time now, the neighborhood stray has birthed kittens under our shed. The first two times I was eh, whatever...because the shed is on the edge of our property and they all disappeared (I like to think that they "wandered off") very shortly after we discovered them.
But last time, at the very end of the summer, they brought a flea infestation to our yard. I had no idea your YARD could have fleas. We couldn't even walk in the back corner of the property without getting them all over us, it was awful.
I'm going to try blood meal around the area. I've also heard that coffee grounds can be a pest deterrent, so it doesn't hurt to try that in your pots.
