Well, from I can deduce, I am 4 weeks pregnant, or at least I am pretty sure I am.... My last period was suppose to start around the 24th. My fiance had expressed some concerns that I was late back on the 20th. At the time I didn't think anything of it because I wasn't due to start until later that week. Last Friday we went out and got a home pregnancy test and it turned out negative. So I waited a few more days and took the second one on Monday, still negative, but I am over a week late.
I am ALWAYS around 28-30 days on my cycle, and I ovulate 10 days after my period starts. And my fiance had unprotected sex around the 6th through the 10th of April, which is my most fertile days. However, we have had unprotected sex around my fertility cycle before with no conception, though, I know that is NOT an indication of anything. I have thought long and hard over the last few days to see if ANYTHING could have happened over the last few months to delay my period or make me skip a month and I can't find an answer. I haven't been under any stress, my eating habits haven't changed, I haven't lost or gained a great deal of weight recently; nothing explains why I am late.
Now, I have been experiencing some mood fluctuations, most notably when I snap at my fiance for no reason, like his flopping around in his sleep keeping me up at night. This is typically a symptom of my period also, but never this severe and I can usually tell when I am a little testy while on my period.
My breasts aren't sore, which they ALWAYS are at least 1 week before my period starts. I am feeling only slightly crampy (like tugging and stretching), which is different because my cramps are ALWAYS more severe a day or two before I start my period. And I am more tired lately than I normally am.
Now, I know that most women won't feel any different, or will only have mild symptoms during week 4, and that most women won't even get a positive pregnancy test until at least week 5 or 6. So I am assuming that the two tests I did take were false negatives. It is for this reason why I am a little nervous and confused.
My discharge is creamy and white when it is usually clear and slippery. My fiance says that my vagina feels much tighter than normal, especially the farther back and deeper he goes. I have been zoning out A LOT this past week and I am much warmer than usual, which is playing hell with my comfort. I will be toasty to the point of sweating at one moment, then freezing cold the next. I have been more gassy as of late, and felt very bloated this past weekend. Lately I have been having to pee about every 1-2 hours, however, my pee hasn't been cloudy at all (my mom said her first indication that she was pregnant was she had VERY cloudy urine and couldn't see the bottom of the bowl. I don't know if that's a normal indicator or not).
My fiance and I are very hopeful that we are pregnant, we have been talking about starting a family for about the past year or so with no such luck until now. I am 25 and he is 27, we haven't set a wedding date yet, mostly due to family illnesses and monetary complications, but our wedding is still set for the near future. At any rate we would just like to know if we are pregnant or not.
So my question is, has anybody encountered a similar situation like ours, or knows someone who went through something similar? I just want to make sure that I am not going crazy with "telling myself that I am pregnant because I really want to be" or that what I feeling, the confusion and nerves, are normal. Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated. I am glad to be here, and if we are pregnant, I am glad I have a plethora of knowledge and first hand experience stories to help guide me through my many questions I will surely have.
Re: New Female Here - A Little Nervous and Confused
Take another test today. If it's negative, you're not pregnant.
PMS symptoms can mimic pregnancy symptoms.
Some people have an occasional anovulatory cycle.
Sometimes you just have an off cycle.
As Ambsies says, if you are pregnant enough to have symptoms, you're pregnant enough to get a + test. Yours are -
Keep testing each week until your period comes, or 60 days passes. Then see your dr to jumpstart your cycle.
