Anyone have an Infantino carrier? Do you like it? I've noticed a lot of you have the Ergo carrier but I just can't see paying $100+ for something that DS may not like.
I have an Infantino carrier that a friend gave me after not using it with her daughter. I took it out of the box and have no clue how it's supposed to go on. It looked really confusing so I never used it bc I also have a Baby Bjorn that I got for 12 at a consignment sale. The Bjorn is a KILLER on my already bad back so I will def be looking for an Ergo on consignment the next go around. Do you live in an area where you could find an originally expensive second hand carrier for a steal? That's what we do for much of our baby purchases that didn't come from friends or family. They outgrow things way too fast to pay full price!
The difference is how the carrier supports your baby. It is better for their hips to be placed in a carrier like the Ergo, I have an Infantino I was given at my baby shower but I wouldn't use it. I use the Ergo almost every day so if I divide out that $100 it's been well worth the cost.
I have both an Infantino and Ergo. I use the Infantino around the house when I need my hands free for a little while. I use the Ergo when we go out and LO will be in the carrier for a lengthy amount of time. My LO definitely prefers the Ergo, but she tolerates the Infantino in small doses. I got the Infantino on clearance at Target for $16, so that is why I picked it up even though I already had an Ergo. I think it's definitely worth a try to see if your LO will like being in a carrier.
SIL gave me one that she used with her youngest son and it is awful. DD liked it because she was close to me and could be carried around. It really hurt my back, DD never felt secure in it and I have read that it is not good for her hips. Last week I bought an Ergo and it was absolutely worth it.

Also if cost is an issue Amazon has them for $87.99 pretty regularly, so keep checking there. Other places to check: garage sales, ebay, and consignment shops.

Nice. Thanks for posting this. I might have to pull the ol price match at target again on one soon!
I feel awful that I didn't post that deal last week I think Target runs the Ergo gift card deal every once in awhile too but I honestly don't know how often.

I have an infantino and used it today and made it like 6 houses down and back before my back was killing me. I was just online looking for ergo's and found a knock off one that the reviews said was pretty similar and it's only around 20! I'm not sure how good it is but I'm going to order it and try it.
We have the Infantino Support Carrier and really like it. I have not tried the Ergo so I have grounds for comparison as for as the support it provides while baby is in it, but our is very comfortable. It does not hurt my back and it feels LO's weight is evenly distributed. We were in the same boat of not wanting to spend $100+ an not know if she would like it. I am happy with our decision.
