do you burp baby at night time

just wondering if you always burp at night time feedings. Sometimes little one falls asleep at the breast and I am reluctant to wake her up by burping her. Is it okay just to lay her down or should i always burp her?

I don't burp or change wet diapers (only dirty). I don't turn on the TV, lights or make any noise really. That way he can fall back asleep easily and know thats it night time still. No spit up at night either, just day.

That's always my dilemma. More often than not, I will burp him. But if I burped him after the first breast and he falls asleep on the second, I typically don't burp him.

I usually try to, but she often doesn't have it in her. Everyone keeps telling me this is fine for a breastfed baby, so as long as she doesn't get fussy later I think you're okay!

If she falls asleep in the middle of eating i usually gently put her on my shoulder and rub her back rather than pat... it can take a while to burp that way and we usually fall asleep that way lol ... but she had a lot of choking episodes and im not comfortable putting her down even in the rnp without burping

It really depends on her mood at the time. When my DD is in a good mood and seems like she'll be easy to get back down I will burp her but if she seems like she's fussy and may be difficult to put back down I will skip the burping but my DD doesn't really spit up much. I think if I had a baby that did spit up more I'd probably be more concearned about burping because I'd be worried about her spitting up in her sleep.
