Hi
Not sure if this is the right place to post this if not let me know and I will delete. My husband and I have been married for over 2 years now and he has always wanted kids asap... I have been on the fence since we have started dating. Partially because I don't know if I will be able to conceive due to medical issues. These past few weeks and maybe past two months I have been feeling that maybe it is time to start seriously planning for a baby. I know that just because I WANT something it doesn't necessarily mean that I am READY for one. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. I just don't want to enter into being a parent light heartedly because I know that a baby is one of the most precious things in the world. I know my husband will be a great father and is a great uncle to my niece and nephew. Any advice or opinions welcome!! THANKS FOR READING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is me to a T. I'm not going to lie and say it was easy to get pregnant, because it wasn't. BUT, if you check on my siggy you'll see a very handsome little man and notice that I am back ttc...so the baby made all the waiting and frustration worth it. Plus some people with those issues have difficulty ttc, many don't. You just don't know. I have an awesome RE, maybe you should have a consultation just so you know what you're getting into. Even before I wanted RE technology to help me get pregnant I saw an RE because I thought he would understand my body better than my OB. He leveled my thyroid perfectly and got me on just the right dose of Metformin.
Anyway, good luck.

Just wanted to say welcome to the board and GL! For reference there is a glossary on the left hand side at the bottom that will help you a bit here
I`ve always wanted kids and would have been ready to TTC the day after we got married. My DH needed a bit more time and it wasn`t until we got a nephew and a newborn next door to us that DH came home one night saying he is ready.

I once asked the same question to a friend of mine who has two great kids and is adopting a third now. Like the others said, there's nothing that can really prepare you 100% for a child. I think that if you know that you two can support a child, then it's just a question of whether you really want it... and it sounds like you do.
All this and 4. If you are ready and your partner is ready and you both have open communication, its time to begin your journey
Good luck!
