Re: Brag Day Wednesday

  • We've started asking DD1 to be a different animal each day, to curb her constant eagle-ness. We've been doing it about 10 days now, and she is doing awesome with it! And it's easier on my nerves than the bird-shrieks and gabbles.

I'm so impressed with how her ability to join in with other kids has improved this year. I was dropping her off yesterday and she headed to the rug and complimented another kid on the shapes he was making.

  • Dd will be attending preschool in September without her one on one aide. She will share an aide with 2 other kids. Both kids have mild to moderate delays. We never even contemplated her not having one on one but she is doing awesome!

DS "graduated"from OT today.  We had our last session.  I had mentioned insurance concerns and maybe moving to every other week last week.  His OT sent an email saying this week would be our last session.  When we went today I let her know we could afford maybe every other week out of pocket.  She said she really thinks he's ready to stop Individual OT and she's excited for him to pick up Social Skills Group this month or next.  She was sad to see him go. (She facilitates older kids social skills groups not the 4-6 year olds).

At open gymnastics he walked forward all the way across the high balance beam twice.  I spotted him but every time he wobbled he caught himself.

  • DS has had a rough transition from the crib to a bed with lots of nighttime wakeups. The last two nights he has slept all night in his bad and no fighting bedtime. It has been a great change!

  • DD1 was able to calm herself down and have a good ST session this week.
DD2 rolled 75 percent of the way over to her left side last night with no assistance.
  • Not really a brag or anything, but Bug was accepted to early prechool thru school district.  I am so excited for him, he will be able to continue to get speech services thru them.  Yeah.
