I've gotta say i'm actually happy about this. This is the second day in a row that my kid has eaten well. And she's eating great at every meal and having 2 snacks per day. She is 20 months old and has been 5th percentile most of the time except for a short time where she was a little underweight. Her weight had been a concern with my husband and I and the pediatrician. She just didn't want to eat hardly anything. We were supplementing with pediasure which I hate doing because she seemed to notice that if she didn't eat the food given, she was going to get pediasure at some point during the day.
Well I stopped giving pediasure because she's too smart and would rather just drink those. I didn't know what else to do becaus the pediatrician stressed that she needed to eat solids and the pediasure seemed to hold her back. Crossed my fingers and somehow she made it to 15th percentile even though she still wasn't eating all that much. I did cut her milk down some and so she wanted to eat more.
BUT I think she hit a growth spurt because yesterday and today she has eaten a lot (for her). Yesterday she had 2 cutie oranges and cheerios and half v8/half water for breakfast, 3 fig newtons for a snack, 2 chicken nuggets and 2 veggie crackers and water for lunch, 5 vanilla wafers as a snack, a piece of toast and milk for dinner. Another milk before bed and another at bedtime.
Today she had 2 cutie oranges and half a piece of toast with water, cheerios for a snack, 2 chicken nuggets and half v8/half water for lunch, and it's 2pm and she's eating a SECOND lunch of italian chicken pasta. I gave her a palm size amount because that's the amount of pasta i'm used to her eating and she ate it all and asked for more! This may not seem like a lot. I really don't know. But this is much more than my kid usually eats. Growth spurt maybe? Crossing my fingers that she eats great at dinner time too.

Yay!
I really think they will all get there - the good eaters and the not-so good eaters. I know my brother ate nothing but yogurt for probably the first 2 years of his life, but you'd never know it now that he's a grownup!
