60+ days cycle

My husband and I have been ttc for the past 8-almost 9 months. I stopped taking bc pill September 2012. The length of my cycles are very long,ranging from 54 to 67 days. Anyone else experienced this? What did your doctors do/ recommend?  I am going to the doctor in a week. I'm getting very anxious for my appointment and any insight before my appointment  would be appreciated.

    I do have a appointment with my doctor on a week. Hoping I have enough information for her to make a good judgement on what's going on. I have charting of temps. They were very frustrating for me though. My temps seem to fluctuate daily on average by .5 degree.

    Any cycle over 60 days warrants a trip to the doctor to jump-start it with provera or another progesterone/progestin prescription. 

    Have you been charting your basal body temperature to confirm ovulation? It can take your body up to a year to regulate after birth control pills.

    Edit: I'm glad you have an appointment. I am sure they will start you on Provera. I understand about frustrating temps, especially when you have long/irregular cycles. GL!

    Age: Me 26, DH 27, Married Oct. 10, 2009 ,TTC since March 2012
    Problem: Irregular menstruation, unexplained
    Nov&Dec-Provera because of no period after 35+ days
    First RE appt 1/10/2013
    Tests: TSH (normal), Prolactin (normal), SA (abnormal)
    Hysteroscopy (normal) and PCOS labs (negative/normal) 1/15/2013
    2/1/13- HPT BFP but Beta Hcg was negative
    Plan: Femara + Trigger + IUI in April if no real BFP before then Bloggy Blog!

    I was very regular when bc. 28 day cycle , very predictable. Prior to going on bc I was irregular. It was not as long as it is now though. The temps are taken within 15 min of each other. would 15 min actually cause that much variation? Seems like you are pretty knowledge about hormone levels and possible test to ask for. Thanks for the advice! I hope for some answers next Wednesday or at least a good start.

    Yes, bc does make your cycle regular. I guess I should have worded my answer a little different. I'm going to my OB Wednesday for yearly and as a starting place. Should I have her recommend when I should go to a RE or did most of you go right away? I want answers.... Don't want to drag my feet

    I am very similar to you. I stopped bc in sept 2012 and my cycles have been only 3. 47to 85 days. The first longest was 85 days only induced by provera. Then second at around 51 and last at 47 last two no provera. I am now in day 52 and waiting. Maybe it's time to go back to doc for hormone panel.

    It's so frustrating isn't it!!?!? Are you going to make an appointment for testing? I'm going to the dr on Wednesday. Fingers crossed I start heading down the right path soon. Good luck to you! Hope things turn around soon for you
