New to The Bump

New Girl-any advice welcomed!

Im new here, I finally decided that I needed to talk with some other women who are or have been in the same situation as me. I have been ttc for the past 9 months.  I was on bc pill for over 12 years and stopped taking it sept 2012.  I know some women say it can take over a year to conceive after taking bc.  However I have a few other issues. My cycle is very long- anywhere from 54-68 days in length.  which makes it hard to figure out when and even if I am ovulating.  I have tried taking my basal temp and opk ovulation predictor.  however neither have worked for me. my temperatures fluctuate .5 degrees almost every morning and I have never gotten a positive result with the ovulation test.   I am going to the doctor a week from today for my yearly and to speak about the issues im noticing. I am getting very anxious for this appointment. I would appreciate to hear from anyone who has or is going through the same thing as me. what did you do? what did you doctor do/recommend? thanks! have a great day everyone!!

Me and DH both under 30 TTC since May 2012 Thyoid and prolactin normal Annovulation-70+ day cycles Provera to end long cycles May 2013 first dose of letrozole 5mg days 3-7 http://tinypic.com/r/2z7mu0x/5

  • Your dr will likely run some tests, initially to check your hormone levels to see if they're in the normal range. If so, they may do some more invasive tests to make sure you're in the clear. In any case, treatment is all over the map depending on your diagnosis.

No need to be anxious, at least not yet. It could be a very easy fix.

    GL and keep us posted
